Founded by the Employees and Veterans of Sunnybrook Veterans Hospital.  The first members obtained the charter to create a financial institution "Credit Union" from the Ontario Government on June 15, 1950.  Today, it continues to be owned by over 1,300 members for their exclusive use of their Credit Union's financial services.

The nine Board of Directors are elected by the members annually from the employees of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and it's affiliated organizations.
